Famciclovir 250mg

Herpes zoster infection, treat genital herpes infection and suppress relapsing genital herpes

1. Herpes zoster infections:
Adults: 250 mg three times a day for seven days
Treatment should be initiated as soon as possible after a diagnosis of herpes zoster.
2. First-episode genital herpes infections
Adults: 250 mg three times daily for five days. Initiation of treatment is recommended as soon as possible after onset of lesions.
3. Acute recurrent genital herpes infections
Adults: 125 mg twice a day for five days. Initiation of treatment is recommended during the prodromal period or
as soon as possible after onset of prodromal symptoms or after a diagnosis of first episode
4. Suppression of recurrent genital herpes infections
Adults: 250 mg twice daily. Therapy should be interrupted periodically at intervals of six to twelve months in order
to observe possible changes in the natural history of the disease.
